We are each capable of taking steps to stop cancer, support those who are currently fighting cancer and remember those who have faced cancer with courage and grace like Rosemary G. Cataldo.
Rosemary G. Cataldo, was diagnosed with stage-four pancreatic cancer in January 2011. The path we walked with her, and her husband Gennaro (a two-time cancer survivor), is one that many have travelled. She went for chemotherapy multiple times each week, survived well beyond the typical time-frame that pancreatic cancer patients are expected to, and always approached each day of her life, with one mantra “what nice thing can I do for someone today?”
This walk and our Foundation is our answer to that very same question.
Since 2013, Steps4Cancer has been supporting cancer care in our community through the generous donations of our supporters. Although we no longer run our annual fundraising walk, we continue to provide Cancer Care Grants to eligible citizens of Revere, MA and to provide an annual scholarship to an eligible Revere High School graduate.
